Location: Lexington, KY

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering seeks an Engineer Associate IV/Research. This is a grant funded position.

Job responsibilities of this position include:

Develop a research program Biosystems and Agricultural engineering with an emphasis in precision agriculture and remote sensing; write and submit grant proposals as principal or co-principal investigator; publish research in peer-reviewed journals; present research at conferences; translate research into outreach materials; report research progress to sponsors.
Oversee the operation of on- and off-campus research facilities including the Instrumentation Research (CEBA 158, 157, 156) and Precision Agriculture (CEBA 182) laboratories, and the Wildcat Agriculture and Atmospheric Research Pavilion at the University of Kentucky North Farm; ensure that facilities and equipment are maintained; ensure that operations are safe and researchers are properly trained and certified to work in the facilities; oversee the purchase of supplies and equipment; participate on department committees.

Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; provide technical support to student research and design projects; provide editorial support to student oral and written communication.
